Just wondering…are there any small or mid-sized vehicles on the market now that can be used for sleeping? I’m not talking about vans or RV’s, either. I currently have a 1st-gen Honda CRV. It isn’t a particularly good or comfortable vehicle, but it does have one saving grace. Its entire interior can be folded-down into a bed large enough for 2 people (or 3 very familiar people). It’s a cool camping feature that we’ve used a few times. I wanted to know if anyone has found any other vehicle, daily-driver sort of thing, with a similar system. Any suggestions welcome.

Honda Element might be what your looking for. It is based on the crv but a little more pricier with better features. I’ve been wondering the same question. I’ve heard that the crv isn’t very comfortable to sleep in though, is this true? If you get any other suggestions please let me know. Blake_perret@yahoo.com Thanks.

I was looking for something smaller than a full-size, like the Escalade. Need something to drive everyday, too. So, something huge like Escalade or Suburban is really out of the question. Don’t know too much about the Element, other that it looks like a tiny bread-truck. I’ll have to see if it is ’sleep-able’.
The CRV isn’t a feather bed, make no mistake. But, it’s better than most couch-beds I’ve been in. It has a sweet spot, but both my wife and I have fallen asleep in it successfully. I’m 6′, 250lbs. She almost 5′, 110 lbs. Should give you an idea of what it can handle.
